AFL legend Dermott Brereton has shared a disgusting video of his shoulder being drained of pus after a botched reconstruction surgery.
The 52-year-old, whose aggressive playing style earned him a reputation as one of the game’s greats, said his left shoulder was operated on late last year.
‘The pus ain’t great. I probably did a bit too much with it too early and consequently went in to have all the garbage flushed out two Mondays ago,’ he told SEN radio.
“(The doctors found out) I’d torn it all up again so we started back at square one two Mondays ago.”

Brereton told SEN radio it was ‘one of 20 times’ he had squeezed pus out of the infected shoulder. ‘It actually turned into a bit of a game,’ he joked.
